WHO ARE MUSEUM MAGNET SCHOOLS?

The major partners in the pilot phase of the project were the six Museum Magnet Schools, four in QLD, Australia and two in USA. The Queensland Museum (QM), the Smithsonian Institution (SI), Education Queensland (EQ) and the Queensland Department of the Premier and Cabinet.

Since the completion of the pilot phase, a growing number of Queensland State Schools are initiating museum education projects, collaborating with Queensland Museum campuses or their local museums. The Showcase and Education Resources pages contain some examples of what they've done.
