Fossil lab
Some students from Brisbane State High School visited the Fossil Lab at the Queensland Museum. Kerry and Angela were working there as Palaeontological Technicians.

Kerry's job is fossil preparation. He is carefully uncovering the fossil of an ancient crocodile. It may be a new species, but the scientists can't tell until he has removed the surrounding rock with his miniature jackhammer.
Angela is preparing to mould a cast of a large dinosaur bone so some accurate copies can be made. The bone came from Australia's largest dinosaur, named Elliot after the farmer who found him.
In the next room is the Acid lab, where rocks are soaked in acid for months to make them break down and release the fossils they contain.
